Diaphson Crystals

Description

These faceted crystals emanate a faint reddish light. They are used by a number of engineered devices and magisiters as power sources and focus crystals for enhancing or harnessing latent magical energy. They are extremely valuable and mining locations are limited.

Thunder Cannon Technology

Certain guilds of Gnomes, such as the Clockwork Constructs and Lofty Ambitions (Guius’ Guild), have managed to harness the power of the crystals for use in magical flash cannons such as the ‘Thunder Cannon.’ It uses a combination of powder and a crystal to magically enhance and imbue projectiles.

Flight machines

There are certain engineers that have demonstrated basic flight abilities by harnessing the energy of diaphson crystals and focussing it to power mechanical and more exotic flight systems.
